Pipe Organ
The Church of Our Saviour is blessed with a fine, historic pipe organ, which dates back to 1873. It was constructed as Opus 69 by Steer and Turner from Westfield, Massachusetts for the Third Congregational Church of Guilford, Connecticut. The South Carolina connection begins in 1977 when it was installed in St. Alban's Chapel in memory of Cadet John L. Toole. The cadets lovingly and carefully moved the organ pipe by pipe and piece by piece to Johns Island. In 1986 it was clear it needed renovations which were carried out by organ builder, John Farmer; these were finished and the newly refurbished organ was moved to the Church of Our Saviour in 1992. Sanctuary Mural
Our Saviour is blessed to have a number of artist as part of the congregation. One of which is, Mary Whyte. Mary is nationally known for her water color paintings. She was gracious enough to paint the mural you can see today in Our Saviour's sanctuary. There are also four of her paintings in the hallway leading towards the fellowship hall.
